Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant to Read But Didn't Get To

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Eleven 2014 Releases I Meant to Read But Didn't Get To

1.Cruel Beauty: I once came up with a Beauty and the Beast idea where the Beauty was hunting the Beast. I probably wasn't ever going to write it, though, so I'm glad somebody else did!

2.Bridge to Haven: Because I love Francine Rivers

3.Hacker: Because I have an obsession with Ted Dekker.

4.Season of Wonder: Aaaahhhhh!

5.Reign: Again, aaaahhhhh!

6.The Secret of Pembrooke Park: I've been on a Julie Klassen kick. She's a more recent discovery.

7.The Butterfly and the Violin: This one got great reviews, and it's set during WWII, which I love.

8.Home of our Hearts: I've been a Christy fan since I was 11 or 12!

9.Quest for the Middle Kingdom: I don't really have an explanation for this one. I was going to read it but then I didn't....

10.Rebels: I'm reading this one right now! Finally!

11.All The Light We Cannot See: What I can't see, is why I didn't read this one last year? It's a Goodreads Choice Award Winner.

Well, that's my brief TTT. I wrote it in a hurry, but at least I wrote it! So, what books were you not able to squeeze in last year?

  1. Some of these are books I missed too. Season of Wonder is the same for me. I have that signed copy on my shelf and have the ARC. Klassen is a definite favorite of mine. I have her latest to read as well. Have you read The Maid at Fairbourne Hall yet? That's my favorite of hers. Thanks for stopping by! I haven't been to too many Changing Hands events, but I'm hoping to go on the 24th. Maybe I'll see you there. :)

    1. Season of Wonder is on my to-buy list. And I haven't read The Maid of Fairbourne Hall, but I definitely want to. Maybe I'll just go on a Klassen reading spree, knock them all off the TBR!

  2. I also have Season of Wonder on my TBR shelf. =P Hope you enjoy Rebels and The Secret of Pembrooke Park when you get to them! I reviewed those two on my blog (liked to titles), they're great!

Our library has Cruel Beauty in processing/cataloging ... hmm. =)

I saw that Top Ten Tuesday says "freebie" this week ... maybe I'll give this one a shot!

    2. I loved Rebels. Kind of depressed that the series is over. And I enjoyed your reviews! Maybe I'll get my hands on Pembrooke soon.

  3. Cruel Beauty is on my want-to-read list. I'd like to read it for the Fairytale Retelling Challenge, so I'll probably read it this year. So I guess it'll actually work out better, with me not having read it already!

    1. Haha, exactly! I remember how frustrated I was with myself when I finished a fairy tale retelling....on December 31. Just couldn't wait one more day...
