I sure hope so! I still haven't decided if I'm going to move forward with this series or not. I feel like I should give it at least one more chance (because I didn't actually hate the first book)...La Coccinellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03118313017081994087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873982736592050445.post-71254466885953569092015-05-01T11:46:22.498-05:002015-05-01T11:46:22.498-05:00That does make it tough. It's a good book, in my opinion, but I think I went in with too-high expectations and was disappointed. Hopefully, I'll get to read the second book soon and solve the matter for myself.TheScribblingSpritehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14594958277392976297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873982736592050445.post-2253825662734074612015-04-30T21:28:43.452-05:002015-04-30T21:28:43.452-05:00I've actually heard several comments that the ...I've actually heard several comments that the first book isn't as great as the next few, and many of my online friends praise this beyond belief, so possibly I shall have to get over myself and read it sometime. In theory it should be something I enjoy -- fantasy, assassins, girly stuff, little romance -- but apparently the lack of connection isn't just a matter of opinion. (Or at least not a matter of rare opinion.)Alyssa Carlierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10995554896786109238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873982736592050445.post-52320351954552985502015-04-29T21:20:21.584-05:002015-04-29T21:20:21.584-05:00Good! And I've heard from other people that it just gets better! So we'll see!TheScribblingSpritehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14594958277392976297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873982736592050445.post-90936724914028407842015-04-29T17:38:08.428-05:002015-04-29T17:38:08.428-05:00Although I loved this one because it was the first...Although I loved this one because it was the first fantasy I really fell in love with you definitely hit on some key negatives I've seen mentioned in other reviews. The feels will really hit you in the next book and beyond, even in the novellas. This one was devoid of too many feels, but you just wait ;) I think you will be very impressed with the next books in this series.
